Rhinoplasty, often referred to as a “nose job”, is a popular procedure that can improve the shape and appearance of your nose, balance your facial proportion and in some cases, correct breathing problems. Rhinoplasty is one of the most personally rewarding procedures for our Denver patients who have spent years feeling unhappy with their appearance.

- Broken nose
- Nose or tip too small
- Tip too bulbous, droopy or large
- Nose too wide or large
- Bent, Crooked or unattractive bridge
- Nostrils too constricted or small
- Nostrils too upturned or wide
Your Rhinoplasty Consultation
The first step to achieving the results you want begins with your initial Rhinoplasty consultation. During this personal interaction, Dr. Zwiebel will focus on understating your goals and designing a procedure that will deliver the results you want: a beautiful, proportional nose that naturally harmonizes with your facial structure. As both your experienced nose surgeon and trusted advisor, Dr. Zwiebel will tell if your expectations are unrealistic or unattainable. He might offer suggestions for other facial plastic surgery procedures, such as chin augmentation, that may be more effective at bringing balance to your face.
Following your initial consultation, Dr. Zwiebel begins building your concept in a digital imaging system. He takes an image of your face and nose, and then adjusts the image based on your discussion and goals. This rendered visual image provides you with a realistic representation of achievable results and offers you an opportunity to give specific feedback. Once you are happy with Dr. Zwiebel’s visual concept, your surgical appointment will be scheduled.
Rhinoplasty Procedure and Recovery
In almost all of his surgical nose procedures, Dr. Zwiebel uses a closed rhinoplasty, in which all incisions are made inside the nose. This approach can successfully address almost all rhinoplasty problems and results in less post-operative swelling.
Under certain circumstances, such as cases of trauma to the tip of the nose or congenital deformities, an open rhinoplasty is more appropriate. The method he uses for your procedure will be based on your unique situation, goals and consultation.
You can usually plan to return to work after a week following your nose surgery, once all of your sutures or splints have been removed. However, you should refrain from any vigorous activities for four to six weeks following your procedure. Upon the completion of your rhinoplasty, your nose will be immediately improved, but it may take several months for your final results to be fully achieved.
